For this class I have included the service learning journal that focuses on the work I participated in for the community partner I choose to volunteer for. The time I spent at this organization helped me make sense of political action in a democratic republic.

Reflective Writing
Participating in the service learning experience helped me realize how important it is for every citizen to be involved in the community. A democratic republic can only be upheld through the participation of its citizens. By volunteering at the hospice center I was able to give back to this great country. I wonder how different this country would be if every person served in the community and lived the values that are written in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. This experience has changed my life. I will continue to volunteer for CareSource it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. This class has taught me so much, I am so glad I took it. I now have a love for government and Politics that I didn’t have before. I will continue to build on this foundation.
